Bidrage med feedbackAlthough it may be listed as Food Store on Tripadvisor, Friendship is actually a full-fledged restaurant with wait staff and tables, which is important to note. Upon entering, there is a cramped convenience store on the right and a take-out counter on the left. If you proceed to the back of the store, you will find stairs leading up to the restaurant. While the space was formerly occupied by Chandlers Fine Dining, it is a bit challenging for me to consider this establishment a chic restaurant now. The floors are uneven and the washrooms feature outdated hand dryers from the 1970s. The food was satisfying, but the service was a bit confused, with individuals who seemed to be customers approaching our table and then being mistaken for staff. The combo plate we ordered was plentiful for two people, and we enjoyed the traditional boiled egg that was reminiscent of another Ethiopian restaurant. Overall, it was an interesting experience and perhaps gives a glimpse into what a chic restaurant in Ethiopia could be like.
Although the name on Tripadvisor is "Food Store", Friendship is a full restaurant with wait staff and tables. Knowing this is important. When you enter the convenience store part, there is a cramped store on your right and a take out counter on the left. If you go around to the back of the store part, there are stairs up to the restaurant. Although a year ago the place was "Chandlers Fine Dining" it is difficult for me to picture this structure as a fancy restaurant. The floors are wavy and uneven, and the washrooms have the 1970's hand dryers. The food was good but the service was such that people that looked like customers would come over to the table and you then assume they must work there. The combo plate was plenty for two people and I liked that it included the traditional boiled egg that was extra at another Ethiopian place nearby. It was an experience and is probably close to what a fancy restaurant in Ethiopia may be like!
Had a catch-up lunch with an old work friend at a new restaurant near us. It's getting harder to find new places to try these days.
I just had a delicious lunch at this restaurant. My dad has been here a few times and always raves about the goat entree, so we decided to go out for lunch there today.
I've Visited half a dozen times or so and love FriendshipIt's family owned and operated with fresh homemade food and lots of it.
