Fifendekel - Edmonton

We had a memorial for my mother-in-law on September 2, 2023. The catering was ugly, it completely broke my heart. No kale or parsley on the platters. The pickle containers in the middle of the sandwich platters did not look attractive. There was zero effort to make the sandwich platters look different. So the buffet table had a pile of ugly looking sandwich platters, that all looked the same. The wrap platter was particularly unattractive, lots of empty areas on the platter. The wraps were soggy. The mini quiches came in tart clamshells. I had to remove all of them and put them on a platter. The worst thing.....they forgot a part of our order, so we had to send someone back to get it. It was obviously rushed. It was supposed to be a cheese, grapes and cracker platter. It was around $80. It truly looked like a kindergarten kid put it together. Ritz crackers, saltine crackers, the smallest amount of cheese and a ridiculously pathetic row of grapes. There was again.....tons and tons of empty space on the platter. We are caterers ourselves, I trusted fifendekle to do a nice job. I did not call or request a refund.....the damage was done. I was ashamed by this catering.

Had the Saskatoon berry and the chocolate cream. Chocolate cream tastes like a choclate moose but with more of a gelatin consistency with if course the white cream as well. Saskatoon berry I wish was a little more tart, but that's just my preference thing. Both fillings do the job and taste fine but i wouldnt say they neuther taste sweet enough. Crust also runs on the thin side.

The shop isbusy during lunch hours. But the lineup moves very fast. Service is nice. I ordered the black forest ham with everything and added cheese. The sandwich turned out huge! All ingredients were fresh and the sandwich was delicious.

What a charming locations. The staff were very cheerful, and I will definitely be back to try more items! Please check it out.

Why do I always feel like I'm bothering the staff when I order? Blonde haired girl making the sandwich couldn't even made eye contact. The lady at the till Jo Anne would make a good prison guard. I asked for a box or bag. Jo Anne quickly said no but the brown haired younger female grabbed me a box. Great customer service from her. thankfully the food is good
