Bidrage med feedbackI attempted to order a coffee and a muffin but left after 5 minutes due to the chaotic "line" and apparent confusion among the staff.
My experience at the Southwest Farmer's Market in Terwillegar was fantastic. The market had a great selection of quality vendors, including food trucks. I tried the surf 'n turf burger and was impressed by the generous portion size and delicious taste. The price was reasonable at $10, plus an extra toonie for a bottle of cold water. The market also had picnic tables nearby, which made for a pleasant dining experience. Many of the vendors at this market can be found at other popular markets in the area, such as Old Scona Market and the 104 Street Market. There is ample parking available near the recreation centre, and the market is open from 4 to 7:30 PM on Wednesdays. I would highly recommend checking out this market for a variety of tasty treats.
I went to the pride parade on June 4/16 and after the parade was finished my sister and I went to a park area just north of where the fringe festival usually partakes (around 83 ave and 101 st just north of the train tracks)and they had a bunch of food truck vendors and 1 of them was called Bully food trucking, the park was busy and most of the food vendors were pretty busy as well, though some more then others. I decided to try this Bully place and the lineup was at least 30-40 minutes wait but when I finally got up to the front and the lady took my order, she was polite by asking what I wanted which I told her I wanted the beef cracklin burger; for which costed $9 and $2 for the drink, then she asked my name for the order. Due to it being busy there was an approximate wait of 10 more minutes so when I finally got my food I met back up with my sister and tried the burger. The burger was admittedly really good because it was loaded with spices, beef briskets,lettuce,bruschetta,4 cheese blend, bacon, chipotle aiolea and pickles. The 2 biggest issues i had was the price of the burger, $9 was a little high just for a burger and I believe a cup of fries could of helped with appeasing the higher burger cost. The other issue was the presentation of the burger was not the greatest because the amount of stuff that was on the burger made it look a bit sloppy. This food truck is making a killing on little food supply output (other then putting a **** ton of stuff on the burger) and high prices to the customers. Unfortunately due to people paying the cost of the food they will get away with charging these stupid prices. This small food trailer's overhead can not be as high as say a restaurant in a building where costs run in the 1000's of dollars a month and yet they charge much more then a restaurant would.*The taste of the food none the less I give 2 thumbs up*The presentation will be 1 thumb down and 1 up.*The cost will be 2 thumbs down.
The restaurant always serves fresh food with excellent customer service. The menu is constantly changing, and Wendy, Dean, and their staff understand their customers' desire for exciting meals. Whether you try their Bully mac or the incredible Philly, you can't go wrong. They also accommodate dietary restrictions. If you haven't dined here yet, you're missing out!
