Bidrage med feedbackMeeting long time friends with their kids as well we needed a place where we could linger and the kids would be happy. This place did not disappoint. We had a comfy big booth where we could all sit. Kids had own special menu. And servers didn't mind us lingering to visit. They also checked in without pestering. And the menu gives lots of choices for everyone. Vegetarian in our group found a good option as did kids and everyone else. Would definitely go again.
The head hostess announced to our group that it was a popular place for meetings such as ours. Our group used the meeting room. Also, The Head Hostess said all items were made from scratch .We were a group off 15. I had the veal cutlets and my co-member had the turkey dinner. Both from the senior menu. Not much difference between the regular and senior menu as far as price was concerned. The portion was adequate, but the plate too small. Hard to keep your food from spilling over onto the table! Dinner was topped off my coconut cream pie - my compliments to the pastry chef. It was excellent. Downfall is always the tea made with lukewarm water. A sin of most restaurants. The wait staff were excellent. This ABC was on the north side, so not likely I would visit again.
Good service. Average food for this type of chain restaurant. Convenient location and reasonable amount of parking - although parking lot was treacherous since it was neither ploughed nor sanded.
This place serves some of the nicest breakfast dishes. The service is pleasant and fast. The place is clean, comfortable, and not noisy.
Almost 5PM on a weekday and the restaurant had one booth occupied. We waited to be seated, and I wasn't sure if anyone would hear us. A gentleman came and showed us to a booth near the back close to the washrooms. He brought out glasses of water that reminded me of the children's size glasses when I was a kid (but a little bigger than that) and told us there was no fish available.I noticed the Monday and Wednesday Seniors special which was a good deal. This seems like the type of place that has seniors coming for a home cooked meal, or families with little ones who want traditional fare. The menu has salads, burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I ordered the mushroom mozza burger $(13) with sweet potato fries for an extra $2.Since the restaurant wasn't busy, it didn't take long for our food to arrive. The plate was filled with fries and dipping sauce, and the burger has lots of mushroom with gooey mozza, tomato, lettuce, onion, and a pickle. It was tasty, as were the fries. Not sure what exactly was in the dipping sauce though.
