Qdoba Mexican Eats - Edison

We encountered numerous issues during our visit today. First and foremost, I ordered the veggie bowl, but it came with pieces of meat included. We do not eat meat, and this is completely unacceptable! The staff should have been more attentive to our order. Additionally, despite ordering the full bowl, each one contained only half of the expected quantity. All four entrées had reduced portions, and there was barely a scoop of guacamole—just a light sprinkling on top. This has now happened to us twice! We have come to expect better from QDOBA, so this was quite a disappointing experience.

On Friday evening, I decided to try this restaurant, and I was extremely disappointed. To start, it wasn’t even busy, so I can’t understand how they managed to serve me the wrong quesadilla. I ordered chicken and it seems like someone else ended up with my order. I had to wait in line for a long time, despite there only being four customers, including my son and me, while five employees were behind the register. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt, so I feel like I wasted $10 on something that wasn’t worth it. To top it off, they didn’t even mash the avocado to make guacamole! I won’t be returning to this place anytime soon. It’s basically the same as a Bootleg Moe's, but at least their sides are free.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that I called over 15 times during my drive to confirm if they would still be open, but no one answered. As I’m writing this review, it’s not even 10 PM yet, and they refuse to serve customers. I saw a woman counting the register with two young employees waiting for her response. This experience is quite disappointing.

I have been to this place many times as my husband loves to eat here. His favorite cuisine and tries different menu. But, last time the food tasted bad as the rice and beans was over cooked. The take really long, even after nobody is in queue to order. Not going to this branch anytime soon.

The service at this place is way too slow. I usually go to the Qdoba on Livingston, which is half the size of this one but gets through each order in a minute or less even with heavy traffic and less staff; here I had to wait in line for 20+ minutes even though the queue was only 3-4 people, the guy waiting behind me even left because it was taking so long. Not sure what the staff was even doing, because there were plenty of employees up front but they weren't doing anything, just chatting with each other or working very slowly, and the line just wasn't moving. It doesn't take 5-8 minutes to scoop out ingredients and add them to a bowl tortilla. Probably won't be returning to this particular location.
