Bidrage med feedbackThe hotel is located in a quiet part of the main tourist attractions. Comfortable and warm environment. Very friendly staff. Curry is very good, natural taste without too much artificial favors. Portion exactly right for a rotten lunch washed with a beautiful local beer.
Visited Pakora Bar at there new premises on Canongate on opening night. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful … The owners wife waited on us and recommended dishes as this was our first time visiting… Then leaving we received complimentary sweets from her … Overall a wonderful experience snd definitely will be back.
Absolutely OUTSTANDING food from this lovely family run place. You can tell the food is made with love, and with the friendly and helpful service this place is a must go for any visit to the city. Pictured is the mixed Pakora (veggie option) and I was amazed out how well the veggie haggis one worked!
We stumbled upon The Pakora Bar one snowy Saturday afternoon before catching our train home and it did not disappoint. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with food recommendations. More importantly, the food was AMAZING, very well priced and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. You can tell how passionate this family-run business is. Perfectly located for anyone near the train station. What a gem!
I've enjoyed the best wrap I have ever eaten in my life here at Pakora Bar today a chicken and paneer pakora number. Where to even start...the wrap is lightly toasted and very generously filled with most delcious chicken, paneer, spices and a sauce of your choice. It is absolutely fantastic. Id be suprised if there's a better lunch spot in Edinburgh. It's also incredibly reasonable costing just £7 and this comes with chips that are equally excellent. You may think because its in a tourist hotspot that its a tourist trap but that couldn't be further from the truth. The staff are all very friendly and kindly made it quickly for us as we had a train to catch. It's not too far from Arthur's Seat where the views are breathtaking. If I had my time again and could only do one of these, id have to go for for another wrap, over the iconic seat 11/10. I didn't have any but someone on the table had haggis pakoras and also said they were superb.
