Mercat Bar And Kitchen - Edinburgh

This is a good venue for a quick lunch during the week in your lunch hour. I had the baked potato with tuna mayonnaise I'd had this on my first visit and it was really nice however second time round the potato wasn't crispy enough on the outside or soft enough on the inside. It's not hard to get it right a little more care needs to be taken I think. Service was great both times and you can't argue with the prices :

Great place for watching the rubgy and having food. We were a table of 8 in a booth with a screen straight in front of us. The food was good we were there for the 2007 menu.

The food was delicious, the staff was welcoming, and the prices were affordable. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Decor could be updated..no faults for food or service..i would go back for more
