Bidrage med feedbackDinner at the theatre of this restaurant was set up in one of the old railway arches in the east market street and was developed to make the best use of the tunnel shape. the personal was warm and welcoming at the arrival, the sitting was comfortable and the menu includes a wide selection of taste. the quality of eating was top class and four very happy people enjoyed the culinary experience.
The first time to chop house in edinburgh for a wee lunch break and enjoy it! the steak sordough, which was cooked in perfection and the taste of the bone mark engraving was so free. the part was simple enough, although I hope he's a little bigger. with a bottle of red wine for three. good value for money!
The tales of the cocktails are on the way in this week in edinburgh by new orleans. it is a great excuse (not that we need one) to go and try some fabulous cocktails made by some pretty hot bartenders in some of our best bars in the city. yesterday I went to chop house in market street to try. they had joined with darnley's gin and porter rye to bring some very inventive cocktails on the table, like darnley's gin with older flower and pine needles; darnleys spiced gin with burned pfeffer, orange and bitter; and darnleys gunpowder gin with vermouth and love! next to this we were treated with some great canapés from the chop house, among them carbon flame steak, scallops in Chimmichurri sauce with chili flakes and bark meat with wood charcoal mayo. we were good and really looked around. the personal is fabulously friendly, chatting, knowledgeable. her bartender matteo white really his cocktails and made us some amazing drinks with some unique ingredients and all made with love! I can't wait to go back and enjoy everything on their menu.
These guys do steaks like a pro. Incredible dining for a special occasion. Decadence is the order of the day but in staple, urban surroundings. It's the food and wine that are the stars of this show. Staff are friendly, fabulous, passionate and knowledgable foodies. Oysters on ice with Tabasco wow. Love these little guys. Salt pepper squid tasty. Very tasty. Cooked to perfection and not a blemish beyond. Chateaubriand Yummmmmm! Beautifully pink in the middle. Charred around the outsides. Coupled with a fresh tomato salad and beautifully chubby chips. Brownie with salted caramel icecream fabulous! I could barely manage the mellow blue cheese that followed. This dinner rocked. Nice work Chophouse.
A great find near the Edinburgh Old Town. Steak is fantastic, side are delicious and the cocktail are so tasty. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Modern decor set within an old arch. As well as lunch and dinner they do weekend brunch and a Sunday roast!
