Cannonball Restaurant Bar - Edinburgh

We discovered this bar while searching for a spot to grab a quick drink before dinner during the week leading up to Christmas. It’s conveniently located just off the bustling Royal Mile, making it a pleasant choice for us. Overall, the drink selection was impressive, and the staff were polite and attentive. Unfortunately, we couldn't have dinner here as it was fully booked, but we saw plenty of groups arriving and leaving. It looks like a lovely restaurant, so we definitely plan to give it a try on our next visit to Edinburgh.

I booked the tasting menu with paired drinks for my friend's birthday. The staff was fantastic, and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our last night in Edinburgh!

Neat location (although the hill to get to it was quite a hike). Everything we ate was good, but the soup was absolutely spectacular. The chocolate cannonball dessert was also very good, and appropriately cannonball shaped.

Chill our way in after our Edinburgh Castle tour. Has a nice ambiance and not a lot of customers. We went in the afternoon, so we just ordered the drinks for the Happy Hour . I recommend to try their oysters! Can 't get enough! We ordered for a second round.

The experience was fantastic, and the cocktails were delightful. We spent the afternoon there, and the place wasn’t crowded at all. I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars, though, as the menu lacked some more intriguing options, which was a bit disappointing.
