Bidrage med feedbackI was here a few times. I remember before it became a waldorf astoria! the decor is much more beautiful and it has very classic modern twist to the thema. I love the 1950s portraits on the wall with a view of the portrait that emphasizes the image the personal is very friendly and accommodating. sam the bar manager was by itself and was easy busy but the situation like profi, well done! I'm happy enough to be a diamond member because I'm on my way. the hiltons give me mostly good for free drinks at the bar, which is nice that I had a lot of free time before I had a flight back to london, so I thought I had a...read more
Stayed at the Waldorf and spent may nights at the Caley Bar. MaCallen and team do not disappoint. The Cocktails are awesome, the smokey New York ole Fashioned is the best ever. The presentation is 5 Stars.
The Caley Bar is inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The ambiance of the bar is lovely and the drinks taste amazing. Service was great too.
Third stop on the whisky pilgrimage and we are in the heart of Edinburgh. How many times have folks wandered past this beautiful hotel unaware of the Malts that were held within. The Caley is the repository of over 250 bottles of Scottish Liquid Lovelieness. Put yourself into the comfortable leather chairs and just soak up the atmosphere before you start on the alcohol. The decor reminds me of the old CPR Passenger trains observation cars, with the side bar and the large murals along the walls. I doubt anyone else would get the reference but it takes me back to a time in my chidlhood when I travel across the Canadian Shield in one of these beautiful cars. However, the liquor on those trains sucked. The whiskies available in this lovely place excel and are worth a visit. There is no excuse not to get yourself in here.
Located at the west end of the internationally renowned Caledonian Hotel, The Caley is a popular spot for whisky enthusiasts. With over 250 whiskies to choose from, it's a classy establishment for a night of tasting malts. The hotel bar also offers a chance for international chit-chat. While the interior may feel a bit too heavy on brown hues for some, the prime location and impressive whisky selection make it a worthwhile visit for those who appreciate a good whisky experience.
