St Giles' Cathedral Cafe

Nice little cafe just opposite the cathedral on the royal mile. A tad pricey but a nice little find for a quick coffee and bite to eat whilst exploring.

We stopped into the cafe (entrance is around the side of the cathedral) for a coffee and pastry and decided to go back for lunch. Everything is made from scratch and was very tasty. Best value yet in Edinburgh

A great bargain on the Royal Mile! On the backside of the cathedral, this is a great place for a coffee and scone. Lots of seating inside and a few outside makes this a perfect place to catch your breath and enjoy a few minutes peace. They offer simple fare if you’re a bit peckish and need more than tea and scones.

Stopped here for lunch whilst exploring Edinburgh. Great meal in excellent location. Quiche and salad was delicious as was the stovie. Coffee was rather small. Great food but quite expensive hence 4 stars

No visit to glorious St Giles could be complete without a stop at this quiet cafe with good standard food and friendly staff not usually overcrowded in the asement
