Bidrage med feedbackI’m sad to say that after being loyal customers of Ruchi for some time, we won’t be ordering again. We had the House Thali £25) but when we checked our bank statement at end of month we discovered we’d been overcharged by £15. We rang them and were told that “it had been a busy night and they’d meant to ring us back about the mistake”. Despite recognising their error, the man on the phone was very rude indeed and not apologetic. Because of this customer service and the way we were treated, we won’t order from here again.
I ordered a Chicken Karahi for takeout, but what I received was chicken tikka cooked in a creamy sauce. It seems they underestimated my knowledge of food. It was also quite pricey, so I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and tastes homemade. The spices are perfectly balanced. The service is very nice. We ordered enough for two people, but the portions were so generous that four people could have easily eaten.
I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was surprised by its sweet flavor. The rice was tasty and the peshwari naan was average. The chicken pakoras were the standout dish of the meal, along with the poppadoms. Overall, I probably won't be returning to this restaurant.
Had heard from a few friends this was place to go for a lamb madras , I never had a madras before this but my cousin David is the king of the madras so I was influenced by him! I went for the lamb as Hudson has an allergy to chicken so all was well. I was startled to realise this restaurant is placed 1,237th best in Edinburgh when I’ve been telling everyone it’s manhattans finest! Anyway long story short, I got a half poke of McDonald’s chips and 4 burgers and just told the driver to make a u-turn and get out my sight. Will try one day. I will be in robbies bar this weekend selling sandwiches if anyone wants to pop in thanks
