Lack of imagination and consumer awareness has seen this decline. Framers did not just put a nail in the coffin but a steak through the heart. I hope the building owner is able to gain a new partner and revive. I wish all the staff well
A very good place to stop whilst shopping with options to suit most tastes and reasonable prices, staff very good
You will find there a typical old fashioned atmosphere but great service and typical local food. The food is good, the price is very good for the quality. Just stay there and relax a few minutes before walking though the streets again.
We shared a beautiful cream tea and they provided a savoury one for the person in our group who doesn't like dried fruit. The scones were huge and light and the plate design was very artistic. We really enjoyed it.
Dropped in past on a wet and cold visit to Edinburgh. Having been in Harvey Nichols for coffee earlier we thought this would be a nice place for lunch. My wife had a roast £12) and it was fine, I had the lasagne and for £9 I would have expected better. This was more like a creamy pasta dish with a smear of mince and sauce! I would even think a vegetarian would have eaten it. The photo attached is basically what came out of the dish... Had to wait in a line for knives as they’d run out, didn’t seem too much of a hurry to provide them to is all either. Glad I got the knife as I needed it to bring the pasta from the dish side, id day it had been in the dish being kept warm for some time. We shan’t be returning for food, in general the store seemed all over the place and the toilets were terrible, I’ve been to better toilets at a football ground. Didn’t get my vote and can’t see us spending any more money there. Disappointing.
