This restaurant used to be a good option for takeout, but it has now become very disappointing. I ordered takeout last week after returning from a trip and found nothing to be good or satisfying about the food. The Chicken Sweetcorn Soup was thick and lumpy, with noticeable chunks of uncooked egg in it, making it unsafe to eat. The Meat Prawn Spring Rolls, which are usually one large freshly made roll, were replaced with three smaller, greasy rolls that lacked any prawns. The Prawn Toast was overpriced at £4.50 for only six small pieces, which were extremely overcooked. It is unfortunate that this place has deteriorated so much, as it used to serve good food. The only positive note is that the service was friendly and the food was prepared quickly (although it was a slow day). It is now time to look for a new Chinese takeout option.
The restaurant has a dated interior and does not offer good value for money. The chicken fried rice was disappointing with only a few small pieces of chicken, yet it was still priced at over £7. The staff were rude and showed no concern for customers. I will not be returning to this establishment.
Sadly Anna’s has recently changed hands and gone from the best Chinese takeaway on the west side of Edinburgh, to possibly the worst. The food was really disappointing we’ve ordered twice since it’s changed hands to give it a chance, but won’t be back. Also on our home delivery one of the items was missed off.
Found the food tasteless. Chicken was just a 'lump ' of meat, within the batter, while the rice was dry and lumpy, even with Sweet and Sour sauce over it. Will not be returning here again for any food
