The portions were quite small and a bit expensive considering the price of other eateries next to it. Quite heavily seasoned and sometimes overshadows the actual taste and texture of the food.

The food was delicious and the staff was fantastic. The haggis bon bons were especially amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience tonight at the restaurant. Our server was fantastic; she assisted us in choosing food and wine pairings. The kitchen did an amazing job preparing our selections, everything was cooked perfectly. If we were in town longer or lived here, we would definitely return for more memorable meals. We were seated at table 1, which offered a lovely view of the Royal Mile passing by as we dined inside the restaurant.

I need Google's help to find a 6th star for this restaurant. It is that good. It is rare to find a restaurant where every dish is consistently great, not just good, but great. My wife and I began with haggis and bread, and the haggis was perfectly cooked with great texture and meat, and a wonderful balance. The Caesar salad and fried cod were delicious, and the broccoli and crab cake was absolutely divine. The chicken dish was exceptional. The wine and cocktail complemented the meal perfectly. There was literally nothing we would change about our dining experience - it was perfection from start to finish. This kind of excellence is rare. I would give it a 6 out of 5 rating. You, your friends, your whole family - everyone needs to visit this restaurant.
