We waited over an hour for our food, but it never arrived. We had to leave to catch our train home before it was served, so I can't give a fair rating of their food. The restaurant was empty, so we were unsure why the service was so slow for simple pub food. We had three hungry children with us after a full day of exploring Edinburgh. We had bought a Groupon voucher for a meal for four, which they accepted but provided no food. We received no response via email and no refund. Their customer service was disappointing.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Bar 50 last night. The food was excellent and we will definitely be returning for both the food and drinks at great prices. There is plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors.

We went here for the Champions league final. Very good visable screens and got what we requested table-wise from the booking. Unfortunately you have to buy 4 drinks each upon a visit to the bar as we had to wait 30+ minutes each time we went to the bar. In doing this missed almost an hour of the football. Plenty of staff behind the bar however only 3 or 4 actually serving. Would possibly be different on a quieter night without an event on so wouldnt rule out going back but this first experience was very poor compared to other pubs.

I used a Groupon voucher to dine at this restaurant. It was great value for the money. The pizzas were delicious and the bar staff was friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed. While it was busy with young travelers and students, there was still plenty of room to find a quiet spot.
