Bidrage med feedbackWe had purchased a gift certificate for the Great Mandarin from a fund raiser. We like Asian cooking so it was a great way to check out a new place. There were six in our group so we all chose different options and shared. What a great way to experience a number of different dishes. We ate too fast for me to snap a pic of every dish but the sesame chicken was the fav for everyone. Crispy chicken pieces and rich sauce flavor. The Lo Mein was prob the second fav. But seriously, everything was excellent. I started with perhaps the largest glass of wine I've had in a restaurant. The egg rolls and dumplings were a perfect way to begin the meal. We didn't realize it was in the mall, which we weren't a huge fan of, but the quality of food and service made us forget that fact quickly. Great stop.
Awful, just awful. Used to be a great place and when I moved back to the area, couldn't wait to give it a try again. We went early on a Saturday, they weren't busy. The food was awful..bland, no flavor, the veggies mostly raw and sauces lukewarm. No excuse. Even the tea was lukewarm. 3 of us and no one had a decent meal. Won't be back. Sure isn't what it used to be. Pretty darn expensive, too.
Good place to stop by to grab a quick bite and to watch the game/have a beer at the mall. A nice escape from shopping on a Sunday!
Another COVID take our review Food was good. the Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp was especially good. The Orange Chicken was better than the Sweet Sour Chicken. Chicken rice was good, not great, but good. The food was well packaged, hot when we got it and stored well for leftovers the next day. Try the glazed walnut shrimp for a special treat.
We came here on a Sunday around 6pm, the restaurant had quite a few patrons. The location is kind of weird it is inside the mall and open when the mall is closed. You have to head toward the lower level parking garage next to JC Penny and enter through those doors. We ordered three entrees the roast pork with pea pods, the grand dook shrimp and the special braised duck. All three dishes were great the roast pork and pea pods was solid. The grand dook shrimp is a little like a Kung pao shrimp, but I would say it has more garlic and chili's than a typical Kung pao. The braised duck also included pork and shrimp along with tender braised duck along with various Chinese vegetables. All three dishes were very good and, I highly recommend getting some of their chili sauce.
