My steak was really well cooked and very tender. We also had breakfast int he restaurant as part of our stay and that was delicious and set one up for the day. All the staff are very polite and attentive. The time slots make sure that they do not overload the front of house or kitchen teams so it is well worth going at the right time.
The restaurant isn’t cheap especially if you are having a bottle of wine, I had the fish cake to start, my wife had the goats cheese, for main my wife had the ribeye and I had the pie of the day, all the food was first class.
Perfect if you're booked in and the restaurant seemed full in the evening. The menu is short but well balanced with elements linked to the associated farms. All the elements of each dish were well thought through and nicely presented. Breakfast was vrey good again with local produce.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night at the hotel. Very good menu our choice was excellent. Good service nice table looking out onto the countryside.
When ordering our vegetarian order we found out THAT ALL THEIR FRIED FOOD WAS COOKED IN THE SAME OIL AS THE FISH and as was we pointed out to the seemingly uninterested manager and fuming manager that this is not written on the menu to warn all vegans and vegetarians that their chips, sweet potato fries or anything that needed to be fried were in fact not the real real deal The manager was rude and clearly couldn't be bothered and in fact was so rude that he tried desperately to make us feel uncomfortable after complaining which didn't succeed as we just laughed because he reminded us so much of Basil Fawlty from Fawlty towers, but that aside this is a very serious matter indeed and needs to be addressed URGENTLY!!!!!
