Bidrage med feedbackThe website said they are open from 11:30 am 10:00 pm on Saturdays, but upon our 2:30pm arrival, the door suggested opening 4:00 pm. We were immensely seated to a untidy booth and unswept restaurant. I hesitatantly ordered. The server and manager kept checking in with us throughout our meal. The food was not bad, especially the crispy fries; they were quite tasty. But the flies dampened the atmosphere. The consistent swatting of flies away from ourselves and food was alarming. The bathroom was clean except for the unswept dead flies on the ground.
One can tell the type of establishment by the responses of the owner to the critical reviews.... if you look up the one star reviews for Shaken, the owner could certaily be the classy one and respond with more poise and even an apology. Sometimes the owner forgets We are your customers, and we are paying money for a product and a service... its not just a donation. The 2 1/2 stars is for the music which was enjoyable. The food however.... I m sorry Mr and Mrs Owner... is not great. The calamari.... I did a double take and asked is this all that are served for $13? LIke 6 little rings at the bottom of a basket. The Brisket Burger sandwich.... needs a lot of help stringy and grissly brisket and just flavorless small and $18...no fries! We split one entree, one tiny calamari and an onion ring and we spent $46 bucks thats with no drinks! We justified it because they had music and overpriced food is fee for entertainment. I 'm not sure how they will be able to compete with the new guys (Cider Mill Haus) doing exceptional music and food and drinks at the same time down the street on the weekends.
My husband and I just spent a couple days in Eatonville while visiting Mt. Rainier National Park. Shaken was definitely the best place we ate at in town. The food was delicious and I felt priced appropriately. We actually ate here twice because we were nervous to take a chance on somewhere new after having bad experiences elsewhere. We each had the cowboy burger dip on our first visit, and my husband had chicken fettuccine alfredo while I had the sirloin on the second visit. My only criticism would be that I ordered my steak medium and it came out well done. Everything still tasted great though and the outside seating area was nice, as well as the ciders and beer options. Would highly recommend Shaken if you are looking for a nice meal in Eatonville.
The food and service were really good. The only reason for not giving 5 star was because the burger we ordered was burnt, else the rest of the order was excellent ?
A friendly restaurant with tasty and healthy food. A great experience.for my family. Highly
