Candlewyck Diner - East Rutherford

Wow! This diner is one of the best I've ever visited! The service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Our server was excellent, which really boosted the experience to a solid 4 stars. The food was delicious, though I believe it could have been even better. Here are my ratings: Food: 8.3/10, Service: 9.6/10, Environment: 9/10, Overall: 9.1/10.

Make sure to add this restaurant to your must-visit list! Their menu reads like a captivating novel, featuring an array of incredible dishes. Don't forget to bring the kids, as they have a fun, laminated menu with plenty of kid-friendly options. And you can't miss the huge dessert case filled with cakes, cookies, and more. Our family enjoyed every aspect of this place and left feeling pleasantly full!

The service was excellent, particularly from the older gentleman at the front with white hair; he was incredibly kind. Unfortunately, I found the food to be lacking. I ordered a chicken pesto panini, and it had no flavor whatsoever, which was quite disappointing. Despite this, I would definitely consider going back for another try.

Great food and good service! Chicken soup (with stars? surprisingly good, not too salty, unlike other diners that always seem to make super salty soups Split Pea soup hubby loved it, and the croutons on top Squid Ink Linguini in Clam Sauce so good. I ate the whole plate! They gave a lot of clams Pork Chops with Apple I thought the apple would be weird but turnedout delicious! Will be going back as I saw Chicken Pot Pie that I must try! Edit: went back with the intent to order thechicken pot pie. But we got there in time for Saturday Brunch. They were packed! No wonder because the food wasamazing! Lobster Mac Cheese was delicious; I could not stop picking at my husband's plate and I don't like mac cheese andshould not be having dairy lol My Avocado Toast with Salmon was delicious too!

The amount of different foods on their menu is insane. It?s sad that we came around closing time and couldn?t try everything we wanted to, but when we say the menu our eyes grew due to the amount of pages just with all the food they have. The amount offood they give is perfect. The scenery is also perfect. And the desert, perfect. They have a large variety of different types ofdessert and they all look delicious. I tried one of their cake desserts and it was extremely tasty. They make each plate of foodpresentable and clearly care about their customers. Each customer that walked in walked out with a smile on their face.
