Bidrage med feedbackIt’s so great seeing more 100 vegan places pop up in Rochester. Holly cake is such a great addition. All of the desserts looked amazing, I got a cookie but need to come back to try more desserts. My partner and I both ordered sandwiches in addition to a side of hash browns. The hash browns remind me of the ones I used to get from fast food places as a kid, which were so good! It’s so great to have a vegan version of those.
Great breakfast, lunch and place to get drinks and treats. Everything we tried here tasted good so far.
Found the Hollycake House while visiting Rachacha. All vegan bakery options, breakfast and lunch sammies. Highly recommend the Venetian breakfast sandwich: super delicious. Muffins were excellent too. High marks to the staff, all super friendly and welcoming. You have to put Hollycake House on your list, if you’re local I bet you’ll be back and so will I !
Food is really great but the prices are on the high side.
I recently ordered holiday cookies and and a pecan pie everything was beautiful and very good, but the pie was most notable! Everything about the pie was absolutely amazing, right down to the crust. Pie crusts can be challenging, but this was perfect. In comparison to other vegan pecan pies I've ordered locally in the recent past, her price is very fair for a 9 pie and is made in the traditional style, with no other bells and whistles added a much appreciated and well done classic. The only thing I wish would have been a bit different in the experience was the clarity of the pick up process. The order confirmation email, their front door, etc. did not specify whether to call first vs. just walking in with a mask on, of course , etc. So I knocked on the outside door but when I didn't hear anything, I masked up and waited in the foyer after knocking on the inside entry door which I did feel a bit awkward about due to this also being their home. Update: 6 1 2022 New location in Techniplex Building in E. Rochester : Its a bit hard to find at first and the Techniplex building is kind of odd and fairly empty so you might question wether or not you're really in the right place as you walk through the really quiet and dark building. Other than that, their new cafe space itself is really great and offers a lot of items for breakfast and lunch as well as sweets to go in addition to their amazing bakery orders they've always offered. Much of what they serve is house made and their vegan egg patty is amazing definitely better than the typically used Just Egg! Considering that this is a 100 vegan menu with so many house made offerings components, gluten free options, no sugar added options for baked good orders, etc., their prices are very fair. I'm sad they're not closer to the city, but we're so lucky to have them! Updated from previous review on 2021 02 20
