Golden House - East Providence

I order a bourbon chicken and instead they gave pork. I called the restaurant to let them know that is pork instead chicken , they denied it and start arguing with me on the phone saying is chicken and they don’t serve pork. The flavor is not great atall, they food feels like it came from the microwave. I will not recommend to eat in this restaurant.

I ordered delivery, and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, which was great. I have to say, the food was really good. However, when I asked for my change back, the delivery guy flat out refused. I was shocked. When I asked him again and inquired about his reasoning, he told me he drove for 16 minutes and that this was his only source of income.

As a local resident, I've dined here more than a dozen times and have tried all the Chinese restaurants in East Providence. This place stands out for having the best brown rice, and they always include soup with any combination order. I've found their consistency in food preparation and service to be impressive. The egg foo young, in particular, is a standout dish—it's exceptionally well made.

Delicious food, excellent prices, quick delivery, and wonderful staff.

I really dislike writing negative reviews, but I have to say this place was disappointing. The oil they use had a horrible taste—really rancid. They do offer delivery, but honestly, it's not worth it. If you're in the area, I recommend Young Porcelain on Warren Ave or Lee's in the River; both are much better options. The last time I ordered from Golden House, I couldn't even finish my meal, and I typically eat everything—even Spam! Just skip this place.
