Avanti's - East Peoria

We visited Rockwood on July 11 in Peoria, Illinois, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The service was poor; our waitress forgot to take my order completely. Other customers around us also expressed their dissatisfaction; one man even asked a colleague if their waitress was working in his section. My salad was served with my main course, and we had to request our bread. It felt quite absurd. To make matters worse, customers who arrived after us were being served before us by a different waitress, which left us quite surprised. We won’t be returning to Rockwood Avanti's. Additionally, we've noticed the sandwiches seem to have less meat than before – the quality has really declined.

My husband and I visited your new restaurant on Knoxville Avenue last Saturday. We have been loyal customers at your establishments for years, but we were quite disappointed with this location. I ordered a pizza burger while my husband chose the pizza burger prima. The meatballs on both sandwiches were absurdly small. Each of us had five on our sandwiches, with the largest ones being only the size of a quarter, and two were as small as nickels. Our waitress was very friendly, so we chose not to complain. The bill came to around twenty dollars, which we felt was not worth it. We won't be returning. The meatballs used to be three times that size! If you're trying to cut costs, it would be better to raise the price by a dollar per sandwich to ensure customer satisfaction. If this trend continues, you're likely to lose many more customers besides us.

My favorite place from childhood! They always had the best cheese ravioli and garlic bread I've ever tasted.
