Went a couple of weeks ago , the bar was busy(despite it being just after New Year) but we ate in the restuarant room which was quiet so enabled us to chat . We all had a nicely cooked steak and homeade proper chips with all the trimmings.Attentative friendly staff . They do have special steak nights etc which seems like they would be a really good deal. Would recommend , why not try it yourself ?
Called here for an impromptu bar meal. Wasn't disapoointed! Fabulous food and drink (can recommend the home made onion rings for sure). The service was excellent too. Would recommend!
18/01/2020 We were advised to give The Wheel Inn a visit and we were very pleased we did. Log Burner in the bar very welcoming. We sat in the restaurant. My husband had Gammon, which was proper Gammon, not a rasher of bacon! Two thick slices plus home made chips eggs tomato mushroom etc. Really tender, I had a dodgy tooth crown but tried a bit and it was excellent. I had beef stroganoff which again was very nice with salad chips etc. Couldn't fault anythng. Looking forward to returning and trying another dish on the menu. Very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food served. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Myself and my friend had Sunday lunch at the Wheel today. I had roast chicken and my friend had roast pork. The food was excellent. Lovely yorkshire puddings and stuffing. Gravy also delicious and vegetables cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. Also reasonably priced. We would thoroughly recommend this establishment.
