Jolly Pumpkin Cafe Brewery East Lansing

I placed an order for takeout during a conference, but it ran overtime. The server kindly left the pickup door unlocked for me. The food was delicious and I want to express my gratitude to the server who waited for me. Thank you, I appreciate you, and you truly saved the day. (The pumpkin roll was especially amazing!)

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We tried to order the wedge salad to share, but were informed that they were out. How does a restaurant run out of a popular dish like that? We then ordered the corned beef sandwich, but were disappointed to find that there was more fat than meat. The dessert we ordered was also terrible. Overall, a very unsatisfactory dining experience.

I have visited both locations in Ann Arbor and East Lansing and have never been let down.

Stopped in yesterday for a couple of beers and some appetizers. The Brussel sprouts and truffle fries were both very good. Surprised by the large portion sizes, but wasn't sad about it. The sour beers were also on point. Nice quick stop that didn't disappoint.

The food was amazing and the staff was great for the most part, but it took us a full hour and 15 minutes from the time we sat down until we finally got our food. It was 20 minutes after we ordered before someone came out to tell us they were out of some we had ordered. We asked for a manager twice before he finally came over. When we expressed our concerns that the three tables around us who were sat long after us got their food before we did, he was dismissive and rude. The only explanation he gave us was that they were down two people in the kitchen and they fulfill orders in the order they come to the kitchen, which is not an explanation for why our table was served later than the tables who were sat after us. I've worked in food service and give a lot of grace to restaurant staff on busy days, but being dismissive and rude when I have tried to be understanding and respectful is something I will not tolerate.
