Pavilion Tea Rooms - East Hampshire

Came to have breakfast on Friday. As a matter of fact, they had reduced the breakfast menu to make sure they could meet the demand a day. However, we thought it would be really disappointing (and rather cheeky! to load the same amount as normal for a Veggie breakfast... but one of the most important ingredients removed. With only tomatoes, mushroom spinach and egg as veggie breakfast is a really bad choice. Very subdued visit and although we regularly visit, I think we will miss it for a while.

I and my son have breakfast there. The service was very fast. I think the food was already cooked and kept somewhere in a hot tray, because we waited only 5-10 for food arriving after the order. I wasn't really... happy the bacon when he was boiled. Apart from that, everything else was nice. I can say I had a better breakfast in other places and for less money. A little expensive. 1 English breakfast and 1 semy English breakfast (no bean, sausage and tomatoes), 1 tea, 1 hot chocolate, we paid £27. Service was really nice.

Early arrival is recommended. This beautiful café is very popular. Bookings, will only be for parties of 10 or more or for Afternoon Tea, not lunch. So early or late is your best bet. We came 12:20 and got the last table for four in the main café. Our party had both the quiche on the menu plus Macaroni cheese. All right. The former served with coat potatoes and salad. Desserts ranged from their famous lemon meringue Pie and Bakewell Tart to a chocolate special. Good service. 4 hours later, we were out of the conversation. So a relaxed way to lunch with friends...

I ate this morning. Bit worried as it was Valentine's Day, but surprisingly easy to get a nice table. There were many waiters in service and the service was very good. The waitresses were constantly scanning the room to see if anyone needed help....Our drinks, then our food arrived very fast as there were so many people who visited the tea room. I had the mushroom soup with garnet bread. I can only say it was delicious. I never had a better soup and the bread was fresh. The whole staff was very polite.

The quality of the food is poor. The prices have increased and the portion sizes decreased. Customer service manger is argumentative and unprofessional to deal with when we spoke to her about our order.
