Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered takeout for our family over the weekend from Ashoka, a restaurant we hadn't ordered from in a while. Unfortunately, the food arrived late, was cold and dry, and one of the worst curries we've ever had. We will not be returning to Ashoka. Something has definitely changed for the worse at this restaurant.
I ordered a takeout from this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. I ordered 3 starters, 3 main dishes with rice, naan bread, and chips. The chicken tikka was dry and tough, and we received 2 chicken tikka dishes instead of 1 chicken and 1 mixed. The chasni was flavorless, and I consider myself an expert on chasni. To make matters worse, my granddaughter found a hair in her dish, but luckily she is a child and not easily put off by such things. The chips were cold and inedible. I tried to call the restaurant to address these issues, but there was no answer - likely due to the restaurant being very busy. As a result, I am writing this review as I have not been able to speak with them directly.
Grabbed a carry out meal for 2 a couple of nights ago , rarely review food , but feel compelled to comment on the sub standard offerings. Mixed Pakora was pretty tasteless, some of it very greasy yuck. The Aloo Poori looked as bad as it tasted . My wife ordered a Chilli Chicken dish that she only ate half of a first , and my Chasni was unrecognisable a thick gooey tasteless sauce that probably came out of a jar . Never again .
Visited Ashoka Bearsden for a birthday meal with family for a much needed curry. High expectations as been a few times before over the years. Food was great and service from our waitress (Uditi) was excellent. The restaurant had a warm atmosphere and was surprisingly busy for a Sunday evening so glad we booked in advance.
Went here for a family meal on a quiet Wednesday, had a range of very tasty Currys. What really stood out though was Uditi, our server. She was very accomodating and friendly and was generally very lovely. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks Uditi!
