Minster Tavern - East Cambridgeshire

Food was very good but the pub was very busy, as it was a Christmas market day and took a long time to come….. the staff were very pleasant we would definitely book again.

We are in Ely x visit the beautiful Cathedral and, at the exit, we stop in this pub, attracted by the beautiful teaching outside. The bar, inside, presents the usual layout of the English pub: a bar with several beers, both local and foreign. We order a burger of beef with chips, lettuce, cheddar and sausages: the burger is not bad, but it comes back, for our tastes, in the average. The amber beer I took was not particularly tasty and full, but it is the taste that many English beers have (I must confess that I prefer the double and triple Belgian malt beers, the German ones and some of the Irish ones), while my wife chooses a Moretti..... We pay about 30 pounds, which are on our spot. Basically, a good pub: for me, however, not up to others I tried in the Cambridge area.

Great pub, delicious food, great atmosphere! my puppy was made more than welcome, even if you gave a drink as soon as we sat down! that makes it a great place to visit ely.
