El Palenque Mexican - E Elm St

I ordered carne asada and was expecting skirt steak and I got a hard thin slice of carne. I told the waiter but he didn't do anything. I'm never coming back to this restaurant, it was a waste of money.

This place was absolutely amazing when it first opened but it has went downhill so badly. I'm not sure what changed but the food isn't like it was when they first opened. I have been given old pico de gallo on several occasions now. The pollo con queso seems to have way less cheese sauce, the kids pollo con queso has had none the past two orders we've had from them. The chorizo cheese dip is extremely oily. The quality of the food has went down and it saddens me because I use to argue that this was the best Mexican restaurant in Union County. Now I cannot say that.

Nice fast Mexican. Friendly service and delicious offerings. Relaxing atmosphere and they seem they can handle a rush with ease.

Usually not busy but that means quick food. Never wait long for dine in or to go. Food is so yummy and menu is plentiful.
