Italian Pizzeria - Durham

The pizza is quite good, surpassing that of many other places, and the cheesesteaks are fantastic.

I grew up dining at the Italian Pizzeria on Guess, but I’ve never had such a disappointing experience there before. I ordered a pizza topped with spinach, ricotta, sausage, and black olives. Unfortunately, the spinach was just thawed frozen spinach rather than fresh, and they didn't even drain it, making the entire pizza soggy. The ricotta cheese was simply smeared on top instead of being incorporated properly. As for the wings, they were also soggy instead of crispy, and they just dumped BBQ sauce on them instead of tossing them. It was just a really unappetizing experience overall.

I enjoyed some excellent Neapolitan pizza, and with a drink and soda, the total was just $10. I’ve heard great things about the cheesesteak as well. I also tried the cannoli, which was quite tasty—the shell was crisp, and there was a nice amount of cream filling. The guy behind the counter was really friendly too.

Love me some Italian Pizzaria!!! It's the only one in NC that even comes close to my beloved NY pizza! The dough is not heavy and clumpy, rather it has the perfect mixture of fluff, and crispness and a little sweet...absolute perfection. The toppingsare always fresh, and all of the other menu items are fabulous. Love the fried zucchini! The serving sizes are also plentiful,you definitely don't go home hungry!

I placed my order by phone and went to pick the food up. The person that answered the phone was polite and repeated the order back to me correctly. I waited 10 minutes and went to the restaurant. The establishment was clean. A young lady greeted me andasked me what I ordered. The food was ready when I got there. The order was accurate. The food was still warm when I got homeand very delicious. I had a chicken roll and my fiancé had a steak and cheese sub. We both had fries. Yummy!!
