Digs Restaurant Bar - Durango

1. time in and found the staff very friendly, prompt and eating was very cheap. we had chicken salads and they had a good amount of fresh vegetables in them. blackberry cobbler and ice cream was very delicious!

Digs is not terrible, but it is not better than moderate. instead of printing new menus, they put a paper in their menus, which are the increased prices for at least half of the menu. service is friendly but slow for an empty restaurant.

The chicken-fried steak was a travesty. Great restaurant great service but if that is what you were going to pass off for a chicken fried steak I would suggest just leaving it off the menu entirely. Don't get me wrong it was edible. But that's it it was just edible nothing really great about it at all. The deep fried mushrooms were some of the best I think I've ever had. So you guys got that going for you. But just go ahead and take that sorry excuse for a chicken fried steak off the menu.

Best pizza in Durango, and its half off on Fridays! Daily specials and happy hour make it affordable, and the food is top notch. Wait staff is friendly and attentive, I've never had a bad experience here. Edit: They stopped serving pizza, and they no longer have any deals of any kind, not even a happy hour. Staff is rude (probably underpaid). I won't be going here again.

The last two times I've been to Digs I've been very disappointed with the food and service. One of the times we waited over an hour for our food. When the waitress came by she told us they had made the wrong pizza for us not once but twice. When the pizza finally did come out it was still made incorrectly, but we decided to not send it back. The plate of food I had ordered had obviously been waiting for the pizza since it was lukewarm at best. The second time we had a split check with friends. I included my tip in my total, but when I checked my bank account several days later they'd added $4.00. Not sure what's happened there lately but the food and the service has gone way downhill. I live very close but due to these experiences, I'll drive into town for better service and food. If you're going for a night out, go somewhere else.
