Union Station Smokehouse - Durand

The server/bartender from the time I walked in the door was not nice at all! Very rude and not once personable! No Hi, how are you, do you want a drink I would have liked a drink) when I asked a question she was sniping with me. I wanted to order more than just wings but she never asked if that was all I wanted!!! Acted like I was an inconvenience to her! I haven’t been here in a while! I usually travel to get their wings, I did love it there but with a server like this, it changed the whole experience!! She was nice and jovial to others! She never gave us silverware or even a napkin. I have a hard time tipping really well to people that are rude. I stayed completely nice to her the whole time hoping her attitude would change towards me nope it didn’t!! I’m usually a 20 or 25% tipper because I believe they work their butts off. But if you’re rude to your patrons, it will reflect in her tips and on your business! Food was still great but people also pay for the experience when they go out to eat!

This restaurant is well worth the visit. The pulled pork melts in your mouth. The menu has lots of choices, so if you go hungry, it is your own fault. Would definitely eat here again. We had 6 teens who were very picky eaters, and they loved what they ordered. The teens even asked if we could come back again.

I searched for VEGAN options in durand michigan and this came up. it's a literal meat restaurant nothing vegan at all ?

The sauces need better labels. Had the sausages but had to ask about it specifically. Burnt ends where done.

Great service even with only one waitress on staff. Owners out helping her was nice to see. Great food as always
