Island fruit Barn - DUNWICH

There is nothing more to say. I was three days on the island (for the Chamber Music Festival) and made a point (after last year's experience) of lunching here twice. Food standards on the island are improving. Its not just mushy fish n chips any more. But for me the Fruit Barn still leads the field ... lunch one: superb spinach roll with three salads (no lettuce by request) and a real milkshake in a real tin milkshake can ... lunch two: exactly the same! And next year it'll probably be the same again!

Stumbled on this leaving the ferry, and what a find. Stopped for lunch, great selection of food and drink suitable for many dietary requirements. Great selection of drinks and not you're normal sugar ladened ones!Food was awesome as was the coffee.Staff were very friendly and kids had an area to play in which was a nice surprise.

Just had the most beautifully cooked omelette with creamy mushrooms and crispy bacon. Perfect dash of herbs and seasoning complemented by a nicely executed latte. Throw in some slices of fresh avocado and heaven on a plate is yours. Thanks!

Had a beautiful breakfast here on the day we left. Herb omelette with mushrooms, bacon and cheese. Coffee was great too. Worth getting to the ferry early for or stopping in to get some yummy supplies. The cakes looked delicious as well.

Nice fresh fruit...good range and good prices...easy stop off and next to a hardware and camping shop...very handy.
