Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has a fantastic exterior and a rich historical atmosphere. It likely hosts some great live bands, which adds to its charm. However, the service and food fell short of expectations. My guest and I waited two hours for our meals, and it felt as though our order had been overlooked. We stopped here on our way to the Sequoias to grab a bite, so the long wait was frustrating. We enjoyed some beer while we waited, but unfortunately, the food was not worth the delay. We ordered garlic fries, but they didn't have any garlic on them whatsoever. This place definitely has potential, but it could benefit from some improvements. With the right changes, it could truly become a fantastic spot.
If you're in search of luxury, this isn't the place for you. However, if you want a cozy, friendly atmosphere, this spot is perfect. The room, along with the bathroom, was quite small, and the decor had a rustic charm, but it served its purpose well. We stayed for one night and dined at the diner next door. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and once again, the service was both friendly and efficient.
Gena’s Sierra Inn offers a delicious breakfast burrito at the on-site restaurant, and it's substantial enough for most people to share. The room was clean and cozy, but don't set your expectations too high. We often stay at Motel (5+1) or Super (7+1), so we may have had overly high expectations. The inn is conveniently located near King’s Canyon. However, there was no deadbolt or any additional way to secure the door.
The location and restaurant are excellent. However, Room #3 is quite small and in need of a complete renovation. The queen-sized bed was overly bouncy and uncomfortable, and both the mattress and pillows had an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the bathroom sink was dirty and didn't drain properly. Due to these issues, we decided to leave after just one night, despite having reservations for two. On a positive note, the refrigerator and air conditioning worked well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed three meals at the restaurant, all of which were very good. As for nearby activities, the location is perfect for accessing Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Overall, the food was quite impressive.
We dined there two days ago. It was a bit warm inside, but not uncomfortably so. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional! I ordered the Cali Cheesteak with fries, while she had the Reuben—both were really delicious. It’s a fantastic discovery! Highly recommended!
