Smokey Dz Bbq - Duncanville

After waiting over 20 minutes, I expected my food to be hot, not at room temperature. I ordered the loaded smoky chips, which are advertised as homemade fries, but they resembled more like chopped wood logs rather than fries. It's hard to even identify the chicken due to the tiny pieces of meat; why chop it so small? The flavor was decent, but for $16, I think I'll pass next time.

I was searching for the best BBQ spots near me and stumbled upon this place. I can't believe I hadn't visited sooner! They offer these amazing smoked potato chips, and I ordered them loaded with five different meats—absolutely to die for! The cashier was very polite as well. We can't wait to bring our family to try it out. They have a unique approach to preparing their sides, which was a refreshing change from the usual options. Keep up the great work!

On another note, I ordered the peach cobbler, and it was served hot but overly syrupy and a dark brown color. I tried to return it, but unfortunately, they were closed. I’ll share pictures of that meal as well. The entree was delicious, though! But they seem to always be out of cornbread. I’m beginning to wonder if they even make any, since it's never available when I visit. If you’re serving greens, you really should have cornbread to go with it. On the bright side, their sausage is fantastic! If they could just stop sending out old, dry food, I’d easily give them five stars. For now, my rating reflects the quality of the food when it’s good on the first try.

Had their HUGE baked potato with brisket and all the fixings. Portion was crazy big and well worth the price! Truly authentic flavor, customer service on point. Just a little disappointed in the desert options, although it seemed local it also seemed commerical. Would have been nice if it was just as authenic as the bbq... again portion size of the cake bowls were huge but nothing unique about it. Definitely recommened and would go back if in the area! The service was superb! I had rib tips. Green beans and potato salad. The concept of the green beans with potatoes is great but we're on the spicy side due to heavy black pepper. Potato salad was great and rib tips were a bit tough for me but flavor wise very good.
