Bidrage med feedbackOn Thursday evening we met the Prime Rib Special. Very good rare beef for me with medium for my wife. Friends had done well
This is a gourmet restaurant with a limited daily menu based on local fresh food. The outdoor area is beautiful, with live entertainment from the farm **** and cat. While my salmon was delicious, the hero of the night was excellently cooked the accompanying vegetables and so tasteful. I had the olives delicious as a starter. My wife had the house bacon wrapped shrimps that were just as wonderful. This is a very special place.
This is a wonderful place to eat with great service, price and quality food. An additional bonus is the beautiful gardens in the back where some of the foods are cultivated.
When traveling, I always visit the schools to support the students. It may have been a night, but it was the first time I was disappointed in a culinary school. The asparagus salad had so much vinegar that I crocheted. Beet mousse was good. The fish was ok and also basil potatoes. The chicken was dry and the prawn fatuccine was cold. Plus prawns more the size of salad shrimps then shrimps. It was disappointing that the only selection of drinks besides wine and beer was a very sweet ginger. The sugar content was 47 grams and my diabetic friend couldn't drink it. I'm sure they have more successful evenings, but ours weren't. We went to another culinary school on the island and were pleasantly surprised by the incredible quality of meal and selection until we booked 2 more visits. Hopefully it was just a free evening and other night is better.
Don 't let the fact that it is culinary school for 'want to be chefs '. Yo won 't be disappointed. The service was great, the food was excellent and we went away gratified that we helped them and they gave us a good evening out with our friends. The ambience isn 't anything to write home about (an old fashioned school house classroom) but if you go with good friends, the time together would be well spent.
