I wanted to write a review of my dining experience, but unfortunately, I was unable to do so. I made a reservation over the phone about 10 days before our visit to Portpatrick for a meal on Saturday at 7:15. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was closed and in darkness. We were lucky enough to be accommodated at our hotel's restaurant instead. The waitress there mentioned that the restaurant we had originally booked at had closed, which seemed to be common knowledge locally. It was disappointing that they did not inform us of their closure, causing inconvenience and frustration. I tried reaching out to them for an explanation, but received no response to my calls.

Had a superb meal here with excellent service. We were very upset to be told that the restaurant was closing permanently the following evening. Such a shame

We eat out a lot in various different types of establishments from local pub to fine dining and the meal here could not be faulted to the point I didn't want my mixed seafood risotto (not a mussel in sight) to finish. French onion soup done right with cheese and croutons was devoured. Absolutely faultless, delicious, and exceptional value for money.

We stopped here on a quick trip. Food was excellent and service great. We had the three course lunch menu which was excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and a very nice restaurant with views across the harbour and affordable prices. A little more expensive than the local pubs but a much better dining experience. We ate there twice during our three night stay and only ate elsewhere when the restaurant was closed. On both occasions we drank the house wines, a white and a rose and they were respectable too.
