The crumb was moist, the pecan caramel nutty and not clumpy sweet. You reach a fantastic balance. We enjoy their baked goods every time we leave. A word of caution, the coffee leaves something to be desired. Skip the coffee and get an additional goody.
Seriously some GREAT baked goods. I stopped here to get some coffee quickly before my husband and I went to the north. I couldn't resist trying some baked good when I saw her. The strawberry rhubarb coffee cake was so good and he blue berries cinnamon role was also killer. We went back the next morning and tried the blueberry peach coffee cake and breakfast sandwich. Both were good, but man... I'm constantly dreaming about this strawberry rhubarb piece of corniness! And coffee was great and the prices were definitely fair.
Took a two day trip from my home in the Twin Cities to Duluth to relax. I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of a Bakehouse in the morning when I was on the hunt for my morning coffee. It is a cozy space with tasty homemade food and dark rich coffee.
Enjoyed a cold press with almond milk and vanilla latte with almond milk with 2 veggies sandwiches. Drinks were delicious! Sandwiches could use a little more flavor but still very good. Service was fast with smiles. The interior is adorable; cozy and quaint.
Bakery looked good! I went for lunch and got a breakfast burrito and an iced mocha. The burrito had a slab of sausage I'm pretty sure was store-bought frozen and the mocha tasted like Nesquick chocolate milk with a splash of coffee. I wasn't super impressed. However, their bakery looked wonderful! I wish I had gone with a caramel roll or a muffin instead. Now I know!
