Cold Stone Creamery - Duluth

We have been coming to this ice cream shop for more than ten years. Last night, we visited around 9pm on a Saturday. It was incredibly busy, with a long line extending all the way to the cash register. Despite the crowd, the employees provided excellent customer service. They remained composed, cool, and were very efficient. Kudos to the three employees working at this location.

The restaurant is very dirty, but the young employees are friendly. I have never seen a food establishment where the area by the cashier is so dirty, the floors haven't been cleaned, and there are sticky ice cream rings all over the glass on top of the freezer. They need to improve. What if I were a secret shopper?

We have been frequenting this establishment for years and have usually been satisfied with both the service and the food. However, our experience tonight was incredibly disappointing. Only one out of the three high school students working seemed to be actually doing their job. One customer ahead of us even left because they were out of waffle cones, while another couple ended up leaving due to the slow-moving line. We ultimately decided to leave as well, as they had run out of milk for milkshakes. It is crucial to have adult supervision present at all times in order to avoid such issues. If you run out of ingredients, empower your staff to quickly go to the store and restock. Having essentials such as milk and waffle cones readily available should be a priority when running an ice cream shop. In the end, we ended up getting our shakes at Steak and Shake, where they were more affordable and had a better selection of ingredients.

Great experience! Even on a busy 4th of July, the two young employees working the counter were friendly and prompt with our fairly large order. Indoor seating was not available (presumably a COVID policy leftover? but there were many seats available outside. Ice cream was tasty as expected.

Located right next to Regal, a prime spot to grab dessert after dinner or a movie nearby. Upon entering, the place did seem a little messy (behind the counter, random drips of ice cream, bathrooms were meh), but not as bad as other reviewers make it out to be. Love the Collab they've done to make it Kirby themed Limited time Mario Superstar Sprinkle Blast Basically cake batter ice cream with real cake. It's super heavy and I would recommend sharing it if possible.
