Mongo’s Restaurant Dusseldorf

Mongolian BBQ when done well is fantastic. It marries (1 fresh ingredients, (2 punchy Asian sauces, and (3 cooked on a super hot iron stove to get that wok like flavour. Mongos only got 1 out of 3 of these right, which is the fresh ingredient...which I think is done well. But the sauce completely failed, most of which are Thai and Indian flavours as opposed to Mongolian, they also mix too much sauce, throwing off the balance of the dish The hot plate they used are normal steel hot plate as opposed to cast iron hot plate, which doesn’t have that added layer of flavour Finally, I ordered the all you can eat option. But the time it takes to receive every order takes too long (30min+ , it feels that don’t want you to have too much takes away from the whole experience

It was recomended by a friend who lives in the city and it was the best thing to do in Dusseldorf. A lively place with great ambience and food. the idea is that you create your own dish with your selected ingredients and let the...chef cook it for you. it is a little bit costy but it was worth it. I would recommend to anyone visiting the city

Superb experience on Mongolian food. Vegetarians also can have a good meal here. The staff are super friendly and explain the process of chasing the ingredients and Saunders well. process of choosing your ingredients and

We went there with our 2 years old daughter and got a single table, so didn't have enough place for 3. We went for the all-you-can-eat option. The concept is cool, you take whatever you want, is prepared in front of you and even can...try crocodile, zebra, kangaroo... Kids below 6 is free, very good. However food taste more or less the same. As it was very crowd we could only try between 2-3 different portions as it is being cooked in a first come first serve basis. What was really disappointing is that in the middle of an order came a waiter and told us that in 5 minutes we should be leaving. What?? After this time we got the bill w/o asking. Upsetting if you consider we paid 70€ and were invited to leave. Never again.

I was there during this week, luckily was a table free for us, good service, excellent food and very reasonable price (20 E buffet per person) , all was great
