The Tasty Plaice - Dudley

Ordered a whole family worth of food and phoned 1 hour and a half later to be told it was on its way. 30 minutes later still no food. Phoned again to a man adamant it would be here within 20 minutes that was 40 minutes ago and it has just arrived. Awful service. Poor customer service. Rude people on the phone. Food came back cold. Wasted money but won’t be offered anything in return for this awful experience

What’s happened to this famous fish chip shop ? We Had to throw cod chips in bin it was so bad !!!!

After a few months returned to tasty place, the batter is still **** and half of it stuck to the paper and the rest was about 3mm thick, of which 2mm being gunge , Am I the only person in Sedgley who notices this,

I hadn't visited Tasty Plaice since before the Covid pandemic, probably around February. I ordered the roe special and found the chips to be very greasy and soggy. The roe was mushy as well. My partner had a regular roe and chips meal, which was also disappointing. I'm not sure if there are new owners, but the quality is definitely not the same as before. I won't be returning anytime soon. I was also disappointed by the lack of social distancing, with people ordering next to us only about a foot away.

I have been to better fish and chip shops. My experience at 'The Tasty Plaice' was disappointing and I will not be returning. I ordered a battered sausage and chips, but the chips were soggy and the sausage was overcooked and hard, making it impossible to eat.
