The Birch Tree - Dudley

I wouldn’t bother, booked a table for 10 people for 7:30pm. At 7:40pm the waitress came out and said we had 5 minutes to order as the kitchen closed at 8, why not tell us this when booking a table for 7:30? What if the table wanted desert? Anyway ordered food came fairly quick. But there was a meal missing and all that was said when asked was ‘we’re sorry the kitchen staff have gone ’ that was it. The poor waitress was the only staff on serving taking food and drinks orders. Awful service. Why the hell would someone think it’s acceptable to take a booking for a large table 30 mins before the kitchen closed. Also on arrival although not the pubs fault but the clientele it attracts is poor. There was a group arguing and shouting outside and when seated in the dinning area a glass was thrown at the window. Awful experience!

I don’t know wat the problem is here …. There is one barmaid that has such a bad attitude that stops me going in there …… obviously doesn’t want the custom….. tried 3 time and returned hoping she’s gone … but hasn’t….hang on another 2 years

Very friendly lovely pub. We all had food that was delicous and very good quality. Backgound music on just the right volume, not too loud. Seperate dining room if you like to dine in a quieter area

Went for a meal with family, have used the birch many times this year but could not believe the size of the adult meals it was like having a kids meal, very poor. The service was good as always restaurant was very clean it was just the size of the meals which was a major concern, would I go again probably not so disappointed. It was not value for money.

We had a great time at the restaurant. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The variety of beers was also impressive. The atmosphere at the pub was laid-back and welcoming. We are definitely planning to return.
