Bidrage med feedbackHad lunch there and we all ended up with bland food and shortcuts on the condiments for pho and Bun Bo Hue. But the biggest issue is them charging you to take your leftovers, that you paid for, with you. I have never heard of a restaurant doing that. We will not be coming back for the average food, poor service and nickel and diming you at the very end. Also, allergens beware...my son had a peanut allergy and the waiter noted that on the order. The chef paid no attention to that and our dishes had peanuts that we sent back.
They forgot a part of my order that I took Togo. I had to drive back from my hotel to grab it. They were nice enough to give me a free spring roll and drink. I ordered the traditional pho combo. Honestly, it was not that great. Lack in flavor.
This place is going downhill. I don't get how people still eat here. People that work here are quiet and stupid. I ordered the BBQ beef over rice and they gave me 1 thin slice steak and a half cup of rice...like really? Y'all rationing or something? Taste was very bland aswell. I could go to another Vietnamese spot and get 4 slices of steak and more better (not hard) rice for the price. Ban seo, part of it was undercooked. Couldn't eat it. Went to pay, cashier and workers didn't know what we ordered...like are you serious? You all lost a customer.
Went here for lunch around 10:45. Only person in there at the time. Got my order taken and sat down. I've been to this location before when they first opened and a few times after that when I'm in the plaza. Today came back because I had to wash some stuff at the laundry mat a few stores down so I got a bite to eat while my stuff was washing. The very first time I ate here the dac biet didn't have any meatballs and I'm glad they fixed that. The broth was good a little on the sweeter side but hot, just how I like it. I'm glad they had tripe in the pho because not many places so that and that was pro. Sadly that's where it ends. The meat quality not there. The sliced beef was dry and not tender. The brisket was over cooked and sliced pretty thick with little to no fat on it. This is actually the first time eating pho where I was left with more noodles than meat for my last final bites. This bowl will run you about $15. I recommended somewhere else if you're eating pho, I can't say much for the other dishes. Pho 99 has problems and the pho is one.
Came in on a whim a few weeks back with a large party (about 23 ppl). The waiter/waitress quickly helped our party and were very attentive to some of our questions as some guest were looking for suggestions on what to order. They got all of our food out efficiently and everyone seemed very satisfied with their lunch choices. I really enjoyed the pork chop plate and the shrimp cake. My sister loved the flavor of the broth in the pho and the fried chicken. The jack fruit shake was absolutely delicious. Thai tea wasn't brewed as well as I am used to but other than that, our bellies were full.
