The Friendly Tavern - Du Bois

What is this place?? It's branded as an Irish pub but has a tiki bar, that makes no sense. Important to note the tiki area has no tap system... If you order a pint they have to go inside to pour. I can't comment much on the food, I only ordered apps.. which were very dissapointing. The beer I ordered wasnt very cold and tasted flat. The good news is the staff was very friendly. I probably won't be back here unless a friend insists.

Love the decor it has a Tiki Bar with outdoor seating you can play cornhole, this place is Awesome and right in Dubois

I met a date here for drinks this past weekend. It was recommended by a friend who raved about the cute tiki bar out back and the good food. I was immediately intrigued to see the Tiki Bar, having lived in Arizona a 3rd of my life, its kinda home for me. : Upon entrance the place is nothing impressive and looks like another small town bar that is too dark. As I suspected the Tiki Bar wasn 't open because it was a cold evening. My date and I enjoyed a few rounds of drinks. Without prompting the waitress brought us the check after the 3rd round I believe. My date said we weren 't finished. She took the check and walked away. He was immediately put off by her bringing the check, and I told him....let 's go. No big deal, we 'll go check out another place. He agreed. I called the waitress over to bring the check. While he was looking at that I walked over to the hostess stand and asked the waitress where the Tiki Bar was and if I could please take a peek at it. She responded with a smile and pointed me to the door. I opened the back door which goes out on a patio that is enclosed by plastic flaps. I moved one flap to the side as you couldn 't see through them. The next thing I know I was being scolded at like I was a child that the Tiki Bar wasn 't open and I need to get out. So I matched her tone, and responded with that I was just taking a peek at the tiki bar that it was the reason I came to the place to begin with. She told me she was the owner and I didn 't need to come back. I said I certainly wouldn 't and that she was a nasty woman. I still can 't believe she would treat her customers like that.

First time here and we were very pleased! Food was delicious and service was awesome! I had the wings and they were crispy and delicious with several flavors to choose from. The Tiki bar is unlike anything in the area. Has the feel of an ocean get-away. The cocktails are delicious too!

Friendly's have took it way above and beyond! The new tiki bar, outside dining, fire pits not to mention the the great bar and tables inside to seat a hungry crowd! Hungry or just the munchies they got you covered! Try one of their belly busting burgers or their awsome wings that will keep you coming back for more! What are you waiting for?
