Bidrage med feedbackThe meal was lovely, and the staff are great, coping well with my fussy eater asking for something that was not on the menu. Lovely selection of cakes too and the service was brilliant. Tea is very strong, so ask for less teabags in the teapot if, like me, you like it weaker. Very accommodating. Not open often enough during our stay, but great when it is open.
Ate here with a couple of friends recently, the coffee was really good as were our sandwiches, friendly staff and a great atmosphere
Food was good well cooked full Irish and cakes/desserts were delicious. Service was pretty brusque, however took the edge of what would have been a very good cafe experience.
Just visited two days ago and had the biggest pancake dissapoinment moment! We stopped in for a coffee on our way to Sheeps Head and was handed meu from a friendly staff. On the menu was 'Pancakes ' which to us, sounded wonderful, as we weren 't so hungry to order a brunch or sandwich, but just wanted a little nice to go with the coffee. Pancakes came and looked delicious but was so dry, so even the maple syrup it came with, couldn 't soak them back to tastyness. I 've almost send them back, which in hindsight, I might should have done, but I 'm sure you all know the feeling, of not wanting to be 'a pain ', so decided not to. Ate 1.2 pancake with a bunch of nutella, as I was peckish, but they really wasn 't made for eating. Seemed like either store bought stuff (which I have had tasting better! or 3 days old 'display ' pancakes. Whatever went wrong with these babies, I don 't know, but they weren 't fresh made, moist or even pancake tasting. Anyways, I know writting a bad review based on one visit is not so fair, on the other hand if I was a local, I probably would have known about the bad pancakes and steared away from them. Service was nice, coffee all together ok and I 'm sure the kitchen serves nice food aside from the pancakes. So don 't order them.
We stopped off for lunch recently with our two year old and were warmly welcomed and shown to a nice table. I ordered the smoked salmon and my husband ordered the quiche- both were delicious. Our daughter made a bit of a mess feeding herself but the waiter/owner couldn't have been nicer about it. The coffee here is great! Didn't have dessert although the display looked very tempting! The bill was quite reasonable and it was a very pleasant experience all round. Will be back!
