Kahnaletto - Dresden

My mother had booked us tickets to visit the little theatre located on this converted barge and suggested we visit the restaurant on it beforehand. Extremely convenient location for theatre goers and for the Semperoper. We were given a table on the river-side of the...boat and enjoyed the attentive service and creative tasty food. Very elegant but cosy atmosphere and in general a thoroughly enjoyable evening. PS: there's a lovely little bar hidden in the bottom of the boat, opposite the theatre, which was nice and peaceful after the performance. Definitely worth a visit for a quiet nightcap.

The menu is on a board and is in German, but the waiters speak English and will translate the menu and give excellent service. Sit n a restaurant boat and watch the boats (and occassional swimmers) float by. Hot air balloons, too. This was one...of the fun evenings spent in Germany. Not typical food, but can be quite light. Would go back in a minute.

Is it pricey, yes, .... is there hardly any seating available, yes, ...., BUT: The location The food The owner The service Everything was just sensations, we highly recommend this upscale restaurant for families with kids age 10+

We have become a descendant of kahnaletto. On the one hand, the personal is very friendly and also full of smiles, on the other hand the ambiente and the view of the elbe is an experience. the menu is recommended.

We had reserved over groupon as planned a 4 go menu.At the ship arrived was claimed that we did not reserve; at the time of the reservation a closed company was present.No word of apologies to have only the affirmation no reservation. After the groupon was engaged, at least the cost question was resolved from there.This was a birthday dinner for my wife, but it was very annoying.
