Bidrage med feedbackSo like a lot of people I only review on the extremes. I had hopes for this Thai cooking class on Jan 18th 2023. that my husband purchased for myself and our two adult daughters as a Christmas gift. I see the reviews are quite favorable in most cases, maybe we hit an off night. After a quick introduction the instructor said she taught cooking classes to high school kids. I'm hoping she gives a bit more instruction and passion to the kids, if not they certainly won't learn a thing. My biggest beef with the class is that there was no instruction on how to cook Thai food. Nothing about their preferred ingredients, origin of recipe, why we cooked in the steps we did, it was quite sad. The printed out recipe that I read a day later actually taught me more. A red flag to me was no aprons and the only real utensil was a dull knife. Disposable plates, I mean come on, the class was 70.00 a person. We made 1 salad topped with beef and two entrees. The final dish was the only one with a bit of flavor. So at the end of the class we learned ZERO about Thai cooking and wasted 280.00. And the final nail in the coffin was we paid for a two hour class which promptly ended in an hour and a half. Based on observation I don't think any of the other participants were pleased. Too bad. They should rename it Killing Cuisine. Sorry I really wanted to like this class but if you don't know you won't improve.
My boyfriend and I attended a date night, it was fantastic! We didn't know what to expect before coming but we wanted to try something new. The food was some of the best we both have had. The Chef and his assistants were informative, kind and entertaining. Before we got to eat dessert, we started discussing when we were coming back. Cant' recommend it enough!
Just took a parent child cooking class with my son. We both loved the experience and food! Chefs are awesome and knowledgeable.
Went here for a date night class. Class is more like a lecture or live cooking show. Instructor was excellent, as was the atmosphere. They served delicious food and wine.
Avoid this place at all cost. Purchased two tickets for the Pierogi making class for my parents for their anniversary. The week before my the doctor called my mom to schedule her for emergency surgery the day before the class for what the suspected was a cancerous mass on her neck. That day, my mom reached out to the owner, Denis, who said he will credit her for the class IF and ONLY IF they can fill her their seats. After the class, my parents had to reach out to Denis to see if they could get A refund and they were told, “The spots did not sell, there were a number of empty seats in addition to yours, sorry about that.”I then attempted to call Denis the following Friday and he did not answer. It has now been over a week since my voicemail and I never received a call back or anything. Some of the exact quotes from the owner via email are:“It’s always good to have a backup plan of not.”“I know you are frustrated now but hopefully over time you will appreciate this.”“We can’t possibly protect every customer we have against medical issues they might have immediately prior to a class.”My family has purchased tickets to several different classes here, but won’t give an another dime to an owner that makes you decide between removing a potentially cancerous mass or going to a $120 class. I’m his own words, they had additional open seats, so it wasn’t even that a voucher would have costed him the seats, as he couldn’t fill the class as is. Just sad to see a business run this way.
