Italian Village Pizza Beer

After a 10-year break, I decided to revisit Italian Village. Previously, the quality had declined following the owner's departure, but I noticed that reviews have recently improved. I ordered the Porketta with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone, along with an Italian Hoagie, and I was pleased to find that things have indeed gotten better. The porketta was tender and juicy, just as it should be, and the broccoli rabe was also tender without any bitterness. However, the sharp provolone was not as distinct as I had hoped. The Italian Hoagie was fresh, well-packed, and properly layered. In all fairness, I plan to return soon to further confirm this positive experience.

We have had the pizza, Italian hoagies, and cheese steaks, and all have been superb and legit, the type of quality you get in Philly. The Italian hoagies has that genuine hoagie taste, I will be trying other things in the future. The folks at the checkout counter are very nice. They have a handful of tables. The décor is plain but functional, and they have a good collection of six packs and other offerings in the fridges.

Pizza is outstanding!!! Ordered a sicilian and the sauce and crust are the best. They've remained consistent for decades.

Food was good but we paid 22$ in cash out bill was 36 and some change. Their register is still the same old ass janky register I remember seeing when I was a little girl. Anyways they total after cash ended up being 14$ and the change. They charged my card twice the amount after we paid cash FIRST. I also gave them a 7$ cash tip in the tip jar. It's crazy you try to be nice and end up being fucked over anyways. My dad and I always came here when I was little and my first time coming in by myself/ with my boyfriend and they charged us 50$. I call them and explain my situation (it's one hour after we picked up) and he can't find the transaction, says he'll call me back. They have not and it's been 5 hours now.
