The Ship Inn - Downham Market

I visited my old pub on Sunday afternoon, where I used to work in the late '80s, and I was very impressed. The portions are generous, and the apple pie is absolutely wonderful—a delicate dessert. The pub has undergone a significant transformation, which has clearly paid off. The staff is friendly, and the modern interior is revitalizing. I highly recommend booking a table; you won't be disappointed. I'm definitely going back!

I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed some great beer with a few members of the bike club today. We requested the chili to be a little spicier, and it was really nice of them to accommodate us. The beer was fantastic as well. Captain Bob mentioned that they also serve a carver, which we didn’t know about—otherwise, we definitely would have tried it. We'll be back for sure!

This is a very nice restaurant. While the menu isn't extensive, the food is excellent. The rindburger tasted fresh and perfectly grilled. I highly recommend it!

Stopped during the trip to the coast norfolk. the fish finger sandwich (big portion size) would highly recommend! and a pint of ghost ship. to us and our dog

Superb lunch there after stopping off earlier today. Impressed with a very friendly and dedicated team. We had the beef pie and by goodness, it was good! The new owner had recently taken over and there’s been a huge investment there apparently, and it looks like it has paid off. Thoroughly recommend The Ship.
