Kaowok Chinese Kitchen - Downey

I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but my usual spot on Imperial is no longer open. I expected the food to be decent, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. I ordered a few combo meals with different proteins, and unfortunately, everything was overly salty. It's disappointing to see such poor quality control, especially given the number of staff working there. It seems I'll need to look for another option for quick Chinese food.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, I found a big ugly caterpillar in my broccoli beef. This was my third entrée, and it only had two small pieces of beef. I expected better service given the long line, but I wish I had seen previous reviews indicating that this is a recurring issue. The cashier seemed to have enough time to discuss the problems with the front-of-house and back-of-house staff, which left customers waiting and made my experience even more frustrating. It seems like the cooks are focused on making large batches without paying attention to food quality, while the servers are too busy gossiping to properly inspect what they're serving.

This restaurant used to be a favorite of mine, but the quality and taste have seriously deteriorated. The beef in the beef broccoli had a lot of gristle, and they definitely used to serve better quality meat. Overall, the flavor has declined significantly. It’s time for me to find a new spot.

My first time there... got mushroom chicken and juice was spilled all over the outside. Instead of putting it in a new container, they wiped it off. Well having the juice all over the bottom of the bag was not fun. Finally get to eat and the celery was basically raw and there were so many fatty pieces that had sp much gristle that I couldn't even eat it. How disappointing. I'm kind of scared to eat the beef and broccoli now
